Behind our collection Chingona
Our collection Chingona is inspired by every woman who wakes up each day and chooses to keep going. The ones chasing their dreams even when the path is hard. The single mothers raising strong, beautiful children. The first-generation students working full-time while earning a degree. The women who carry their families, their culture, and their future on their shoulders.
Chingona is resilience. Chingona is courage. Chingona is breaking barriers that were never meant to hold us back.
This collection is for the women who refuse to give up. The women who rise, again and again, stronger than before.
Estoy orgullosa de nosotras. Eres fuerte. Eres valiente. Eres chingona
About Mexes Cafe
Mexes Cafe, located in Los Angeles, was passed down to Adriana, a Latina entrepreneur, after the passing of her father. Determined to continue his legacy, Adriana opened the café in July 2023. Since then, the business has faced many challenges, but Adriana has remained committed to keeping the café running and growing.
Mexes Cafe focuses on offering fast food and coffee with a more health-conscious approach. The menu uses limited seed oils and minimizes fried foods while still providing convenient and flavorful options. The café proudly serves Intelligentsia coffee, known for its lower acidity and anti-mold qualities.
The café quickly gained attention for its creative and unique drinks. One of its most popular items is the Strawberry Matcha, which has attracted many customers. Another customer favorite is the Cayenne Aztec Latte, a bold drink with warm spices and rich flavor. In addition to coffee, Mexes Cafe also offers mushroom-based drinks, reflecting Adriana’s belief in natural healing through food and beverages.
As a female Latina business owner, Adriana has openly shared the difficulties she has faced while building the café. Despite the challenges, she remains determined to succeed and continue her father’s vision.
“It’s been challenging,” Adriana says, “but I’m still here, and I’m not giving up.”
